|Why this site?|
The objective of this site is to create, collaborate (share) and communicate (Spread) Indian ancient folk art – “Rangoli” or Kolam, Madanae in Rajasthan, Chowkpurna in Northern India, Alpana in Bengal, Aripana in Bihar.
Every morning across India, in each and every village, town and narrow lanes of densely populated cities homes are decorated with this colorful art. Rangolis have simple objectives - spread positive energy, invite happiness and have a spiritual connection.
Though these Rangolis are amazingly beautiful but they have a very short life span, sometimes just minutes. The first objective of this site is to capture the eternal beauty of these designs and share the same with the whole world.
Since Rangoli’s touch every part of India and wherever Indian’s are living, we should use this as a channel not only decorate homes or courtyards but give/spread social messages through the designs.
We invite each and everyone who are involved in creating a rangoli to become member of this site and upload your designs. Our team is young and dynamic with the motto to promote artists within the fraternity of this folk art and create a channel for social cause.
Voluntaries who would like to join us and contribute in this cause are welcome.
Let’s create the world of Rangoli
